Entries now being taken for FIPP’s Rising Stars in Media 2016

Unlike other awards, FIPP’s Rising Stars in Media is not about finding the best in class in any particular discipline. We want to uncover those bright stars that are coming up with new ideas, or who have proved to deliver above and beyond what was expected.

FIPP will aggregate all the entries and create a shortlist of what we think are the best case studies and initiatives, which we will then share with the world. We will publish articles about what they are doing, how they have made an impact and share the success of that initiative with the FIPP community.

Who can enter?

• The FIPP’s Rising Stars in Media is not limited to any particular discipline, so anyone under the age of 30 can enter, regardless of which area of the magazine media business they work in, or whether they are employed by the company or a freelancer.

• Nominees must be 30 or under on 10 May 2016, and demonstrate that they have made a significant contribution in the past 12 months.

• If entries are submitted by the individual/freelancer they must be authorised and endorsed by a member of the management team. Nominations can also be put forward directly by managers.

• Nominees do not have to be a member of FIPP to enter the Awards.

Entries can be submitted up until 29 February 2016. Enter Today – download the Entry Form

Share your story at the FIPP London event

The FIPP’s Rising Stars in Media List will be released in early April and the top three exceptional rising stars will be invited to attend the FIPP London event and will be presented with an award. The cost of travel and accommodation will be covered by FIPP and our sponsors UPM.

Ruud van den Berg, UPM’s Senior Vice President for Magazine Publishing & Advertising said this of their ongoing support:

“This initiative recognises the drive and ambition that young executives have in developing magazine media brands. Last year’s entries saw high quality journalism of young writers; the dynamic and innovative solutions for advertisers to support the magazine brands, as well as technological advances that drive engagement with magazines brands and their audiences. Their outstanding contribution enhances magazine media across different platforms on offer – be it print, digital or a combination of the two. I am looking forward to seeing what this year’s entrants have achieved in the last 12 months.”

If you are someone who has made an impact on your business within the last 12 months (or if you have a rising star in your team), acknowledge these achievements and let the world celebrate your excellence.
