Save the dates! FIPP announce two exciting events for March, April, May and June

Aside from its regular webinars, e-learning and other editorial content, FIPP today announced two exciting virtual events in the first half of 2021.

  1. Digital Innovators’ Summit (DIS)
  2. Direct-to-Consumer Global (D2C)

Digital Innovators’ Summit (DIS):

With the Covid pandemic in 2020, many of us had to innovate and pivot on the fly to survive. Digital become more important, and more prevalent in connecting with our consumers than ever before.

Our well-established DIS with partners VDZ, the German Publishers Association, usually takes place in Berlin in March each year. It is also when we launch our popular, annual Innovation in World Media report.

In 2021, given continued restrictions on travel, we will run hour-long five in-depth DIS webinars with deep dives into key innovation areas for the year. The webinars will include topics such as people, sustainability, podcasting, storytelling, monetisation and more.

Save the dates for DIS now:

  1. Tuesday 9 March at 2 pm GMT
  2. Tuesday 23 March at 2 pm GMT
  3. Tuesday 6 April at 2 pm GMT
  4. Tuesday 20 April at 2 pm GMT 
  5. Tuesday 4 May at 2 pm GMT

Speakers will include long-time authors of the Innovation Report, Innovation Media Consulting’s Juan Señor and John Wilpers, and guests from the industry.

Direct-to-Consumer Global (D2C Global)

With digital advertising under pressure, many businesses have made strong inroads in developing their reader revenue business models.

D2C Global is a new FIPP event focusing on the direct-to-consumer business of media. The event will foremost focus on subscription and membership models and practices but will also look at other D2C revenues such as e-commerce, e-learning and virtual and other events. 

It will bring together global speakers from within the industry and others in adjacent industries with lessons for media businesses.

Save the dates for D2C now:

  • Tuesday to Thursday 15-17 June, 9 am – 6 pm GMT
  • Tuesday to Thursday 22-24 June, 9 am – 6 pm GMT
