The year ahead: FIPP events, courses and workshops to look forward to in 2024

As a jam-packed 2023 draws to a close for FIPP, we are already looking forward to what’s lying ahead in 2024. With a number of unmissable events, courses and workshops in the pipeline, the year that sees FIPP turning 99, will be one to remember.

Here’s a taste of what’s coming up in 2024:


FIPP Workshops

As part of FIPP’s commitment to training and development, we’re delivering a series of five online workshops aimed at media managers across 2024. The workshops will provide practical, actionable advice across the world of magazine media and will have a dedicated trainer, plus an opportunity to move into breakout rooms to share experiences and network with others working in media.

New course in partnership with Google

Following on from FIPP’s successful North Star Foundation Course, delivered in partnership with Google and FT Strategies, a brand new, level 2 course is being launched in the first quarter of 2024. This time the focus will be on subscription growth with more details being announced in the new year. You can register your interest in the new course here

The Next Right Thing

FIPP’s ongoing commitment to knowledge sharing and driving positive change in magazine media has prompted us to launch a series of five interviews with senior business leaders, on the subject of ‘The Next Right Thing’. These discussions will focus on values-driven businesses and initiatives in magazine media, with topics including the importance of diversity and inclusion, how the media influences consumers and the industry’s corresponding responsibilities, the value of design and printed media, and more. Each interview will ask ‘What’s the next right thing?’ for them, their business, and the industry. Each interview will be pre-recorded, with a broadcast and live Q&A to be held online. More information will be released in the new year.

FIPP Insiders

Having stopped over in such exciting hubs as Prague and Cape Town in 2023, FIPP’s Insider events are continuing its globe-trotting in 2024, with Insiders set to take place in Lagos, Montreal and New York. FIPP Insider events are half-day programmes designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking opportunities within and between national media markets around the world. More information will be released in the new year.


FIPP Congress 2024

After a hugely successful instalment in 2023, preparations are in full swing for the 46th FIPP World Congress, which will see more than 400 delegates returning to Cascais, Portugal for three days of talks and networking in the sunshine. The event is organised and hosted by partners Media Makers Meet – MX3 and will run from 4 – 6 June. Tickets are already on sale and early booking is advised.
