Integrated marketing agency, River, has appointed Fabiana Xavier as Group Creative Director. The award-winning exec brings a renewed focus on analysis and creativity to the company, as well as a proven track record in leading major global marketing initiatives.
Xavier has previously worked at agencies such as AMV BBDO, Saatchi and Publicis, as well as client-side and on the start-up scene. She has previously helped innovate brands such as HSBC, Mars, Volvo, Vodafone, Google, Unilever, Kellogg’s and Nivea, having picked up a number of awards along the way.
“River Group is at an exciting phase in our growth, whereby we are relaunching River as a full service integrated marketing agency, transitioning out of traditional content marketing and broadening our offer,” said Nicky Murphy, CEO for River Group. “Fabiana was the obvious candidate to work alongside Group Strategy Director, Christian Ruland, to take all of the group’s agencies to the next level. I’m very much looking forward to working with her.”
Xavier added: “River is a very exciting agency, with a great team and a phenomenal track record. I’m very excited to lead their creative team, help the agency grow and influence its reputation. As an independent full-service agency, it offers creative leaders like myself the opportunity to spread our wings in many different directions and positively impact our clients’ businesses. I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
In addition to its flagship marketing agency, The River Group also includes Maven – a health, beauty & wellbeing communications agency, and Reflect – a DEI-focussed talent management agency and the UK’s first not-for-profit community interest company in the space.
