Industry mourns death of Chander Rai
Magazine media industry executive, Chander Rai, passed away on Monday 25 March 2013 after a long battle with leukaemia. He was 70 years old.
Chander had a long and illustrious career in cross-border magazine publishing, and his roles included general manager and publisher of the India Today Group and general manager of Gulf News. More recently, Chander was founder, president and CEO of Cross Border Media in the US.
Chander was an avid supporter of FIPP, and we will all miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife and two children.
