AwesomenessTV: Another exciting stop on the 2016 Digital Innovators West Coast Tour
The network creates media targeted at teens and millennials, and has partnerships with brands like The Coca Cola Company, Khol’s, Old Navy and Royal Caribbean. While most of their current traffic comes from shows produced for YouTube, Nickelodeon and Netflix, Awesomenesstv also supports advertising efforts, like the #shareacoke programme, and frequently creates shows with the intent purpose of showcasing products. A shining example of this is the Awesomenesstv line of girl’s clothing for Kohl’s, called S.o.R.a.d.– the line appears frequently in the show named for the brand, “Life’s S.o. R.a.d”. Awesomenesstv also produces three YouTube shows that take place on Royal Caribbean ships, “to show teens the awesomeness of Royal Caribbean International® cruise vacations”, which together have garnered over 34 million views.
Today, Awesomenesstv produces more than just digital video content. Last summer’s deal with DHX media secures three shows for Canada’s “Family Channel”, as well as new content to license, develop and produce.
A strategic partnership with Apollo and 21st Century Fox’s Endemol Shine Group will bring local-language Awesomenesstv channels to television in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Brazil; though Endemol Shine’s network allows opportunities to extend that reach with their hubs in Latin America, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe.
With the addition of Awesomeness Music and Awesomeness INK to the Awesomeness brand, tour participants can look forward to an inside view on a company that now creates books, music, shows, feature films, and merchandise, and hosts events and concerts for a targeted audience with over 17 billion lifetime views since their start in 2012.
The programme for the DI Tour is coming together and the full programme will be released in the coming weeks. Also lined-up for the Los Angeles leg of the Tour are: Tastemade, an online food network for discovering where to buy food, creating new dishes and sharing them and Hello Giggles, a website and media brand c0-founded by actress Zooey Deschanel that covers pop, culture, news and other topics targeted to women.
If you want to make sure you are on the DI Tour, BOOK NOW, as more than half the places on the tour have already been taken, and space is limited.
