Axel Springer establishes international sales unit
International clients will have access to cross-national advertising opportunities with Insider, Upday, Politico Europe or the brands of Ringier Axel Springer Media in Central and Eastern Europe in addition to the German brand portfolio. With the offerings of the international sales unit, clients will be able to reach more than 300 million users in about 30 countries.

Upday CEO Peter Würtenberger will assume the strategic management of the new unit. The new international sales unit, which will cooperate closely with Media Impact, is an initiative by Würtenberger and will benefit from his experience and expertise in expanding Upday’s international marketing business in 16 countries.
Robert Langenbach will take over the operative management of the new unit as Director International Sales. Langenbach will return to Axel Springer after four years as Director International at the Comatch platform. He already worked for Axel Springer from 2009 to 2016, most recently as Media Impact’s Head of Sales for Politico Europe. In his new function as Director International Sales at Axel Springer, Robert Langenbach will report to Peter Würtenberger.
