Axel Springer Digital Classifieds France, the holding company of Axel Springer's classifieds businesses in France, has today been granted unconditional clearance by the French Competition Authority to acquire Concept Multimédia with its core brand Logic-Immo from the French media holding Spir Communication. With the acquisition, the company strengthens its digital activities of classifieds in the French real estate sector.
The deal would value Concept Multimédia at EUR 105 million (cash/debt free). Final closing requirements are expected to be fulfilled for a definitive closing of the transaction at the beginning of February.
Concept Multimédia is based in Aix-en-Provence and Paris and runs the real estate portal Logic-Immo.com, as well as dedicated online portals for luxury real estate and new buildings and a number of print publications with real estate ads in France. Logic-Immo.com reaches 3.0 million people per month (source: Médiamétrie, unique visitors, October 2017). With SeLoger, Axel Springer already has a leading real estate classifieds site in France, reaching 5.5 million people per month (source: Médiamétrie, unique visitors, October 2017).

Dr. Andreas Wiele, President Classifieds and Marketing Media Axel Springer, says "Thanks to the combination of SeLoger and Logic-Immo, millions of French consumers will have easier access to the home of their dreams. “That’s what I thought. I’m ready for this. And I was excited. I had spent five years in digital; I was excited to be able to return to the media I had fallen in love with, which was print. That was the thing that defined my decision to become a magazine person in the first place. I had been a maniacal print obsessive for my whole childhood. And spending those years in digital really helped me have perspective on consumers and consumer behaviour.” - Kate Lewis, chief content officer, Hearst Magazines14th Feb 2019 Features
