FIPP appoints new Board members
FIPP appointed three new members to its Management Board at a meeting on 23 September in Rome. The FIPP Management Board comprises 37 leading magazine media company CEOs and senior executives, as well as representatives from some of the biggest national magazine media associations in the world.
The new FIPP Management Board members are:
Yolanda Ausín, general manager, Asociación de Revistas de Información (ARI), Spain
Ausín began her career in the marketing department at Johnson & Johnson, then worked for Sanitas, Bupa Group and Vodafone, where she held the position of marketing director until 1999. She became vice president of country management of Discovery Networks for Spain and Portugal and in November 2007 was appointed Telemadrid managing director. Since September 2011, Ausín has been general manager of the Asociación de Revistas de Información (ARI), the Spanish Magazine Association. She is a member of the European Magazine Media Association’s (EMMA) Board of Directors and is the chairman of EMMA’s Editorial and Advertising Committee.
Fabio Colletti Barbosa, CEO, Abril, Brazil
Barbosa has been CEO of Abril since October of 2011. Previously, he was president of Banco Real/ABN Amro in 1996 and in 2008, became CEO of Santander Brazil. Barbosa was also president of Febraban (Brazilian Banks Association) from 2007-2011. In 2011, Fabio was recognized as Person of the Year, by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, in New York. And, in 2012, he received the United Nation’s Champions of the Earth award, for his entrepreneurial vision.
Liu Jiang, founder and president, Trends Media Group, China
Jiang is the founder and president of Trends Media Group. He founded Trends Magazine in 1993 after spending years as a teacher and journalist for China Tourism Newspaper. In 2010, Trends Media Group was steered towards an omni-media strategy under his leadership. Trends has been assessed to be in the Top 500 of the Most Valuable Chinese Brands by the World Brand Lab for continuous years. Jiang has also published two poetry anthologies, Love in Time and Poetic Fashion. He is also a visiting professor of communication at the University of China.
The next FIPP Management Board meeting will take place on 26 March 2014 in Berlin, after the Digital Innovators’ Summit.
