Hello! expansion continues to appeal

Hello! Magazine will add to its international portfolio this year with editions in Nigeria and the Philippines as well as the launch of ¡Hola! TV in Latin America.

The launch in Nigeria will be the company’s first foray into Africa.

Juliet Herd, international managing editor of Hello! and ¡Hola! shared with the audience at FIPP’s Worldwide Media Marketplace the remarkable story of how ¡Hola! transitioned from a single market magazine launched in Spain in 1944 to an international phenomenon.

The company, to this day family-owned, has ¡Hola!/Hello! editions in 24 countries worldwide, and beside extending the brand cross borders have also extended it across multiple channels.

It has a combined ABC of over 300,000, while www.hellomagazine.com attracts over 1.5 million monthly unique users. It is available on iOS, Android and Windows, as well as in all the main newsstands.

Another interesting insight was how the brand has maintained strong performance in the sectors it operates, including maintaining its cross-generational appeal – in the UK the second highest segment after 45 to 54 is the age group 15 to 24.
