BBC Top Gear hosts inaugural international partners summit in London

Top Gear is the world’s biggest motoring brand and the event saw experts from the magazine provide an overview of the brand’s direction as it enters the new era alongside the new show, with presentations from editor Charlie Turner and international licensing director, Tim Hudson. A series of breakout sessions were focused on how to market the magazine, product development and editorial commissioning.

In the evening the partners joined 160 people – from international partners to media agency clients – in attending a huge Top Gear party at BMA House in London. Hosted by publisher Simon Carrington and editor-in-chief Charlie Turner, the event showcased the new TopGear.com and provided guests with updates on the magazine and other Top Gear products.

Over the course of the evening, guests were able to check out incredible cars including a Lamborghini Aventador, take part in Forza races and have their picture taken in a Mini Cooper photobooth. The highlight of the night saw two cars from the new James Bond Spectre film driven into the courtyard. This was the first time the stunning Aston Martin DB10 and feisty Jaguar C-X75 had been seen together.

Check out the video to find out how the partners find working on Top Gear and their views on the brand.
