The programme concludes with a gala dinner and graduation ceremony with our sponsor, UPM.
How will you benefit?
Many of our past MBMC participants have gone on to progress significantly in their career. Björn Vöhl, Vice President Asia and Emerging Markets, Egmont Kids Media, Hong Kong, China, has this to say about his experience:
‘I began the MBMC programme in 2009 when I was working as international executive project manager for Egmont in various operational and strategic projects. It was spot on when it came to covering all parts of understanding and managing a publishing/media company. Starting from the role of a publisher and strategic topics the next modules dealt with more hands on topics such as finance/sales and marketing. Also more intangible topics such as managing the team and leadership skills found their way into the programme. The additional modules on digital media and leveraging the brand rounded up a 360 degree insight into the publishing house of the future.
I very much liked the setup of having external specialists coming in as faculty which gave extra authenticity. Group and individual assignments were quite challenging but rewarding. The international participants from across a variety of countries and publishers opened my horizon to learn from best practices and failures. I am still in touch with some of my peers and enjoy exchanging views and practices in this invaluable network.
The programme is recommended to specialists who are about to take on a more general role in a publishing company, as well as to all executives in order to get an up to date overview and insight into modern magazine publishing. Personally the MBMC helped me to prepare for my current role being in charge for all Asian and Emerging Markets Publishing activities of Egmont Kids Media.”
If you are a rising star in your company and you have the ambition and commitment to further yourself professionally, as well as see your brands reach their full potential, you should attend this course.
