Healthy is currently available to purchase from UK heath food store Holland and Barrett, and has been since 1999.
We asked Dafina Keys, group account director at The River Group a few questions about the launch:
What was the main decision behind launching Healthy on the newsstand?
“Healthy has always been the UK’s top selling health and wellbeing magazine – and the time was right to extend its availability to the newsstand and broader consumer in tandem with Holland & Barrett’s omnichannel development. It is the next natural step and in-keeping with taking the health message to a broader universe.”
What’s the cover price, and has it changed from when it was only available in store? If so, why?
“The cost per copy at newsstands is £3.20 (€4) and each issue will include a cover mount gift. There is a different pricing strategy depending upon the distribution channel being utilised. The cover price will remain £1.99 (€2.50) in Holland & Barrett stores.”
Do you plan to launch Healthy for Men on the newsstand, too?
“The newsstand will always be considered as a distribution channel for our content.”
