Zinio announces the launch of Z-Pass at FIPP WMM

Qin Xiang, international market manager, Zinio International, showcased several innovations at FIPP’s Worldwide Media Marketplace in London today to enable deeper magazine engagement.
 
Data shows that people purchase subscriptions in different ways on digital devices from how they do in the real world. With this in mind, Zinio announced the launch of Z-Pass, which allows for adopting monthly subscription models similar to that of Netflix.
 
Another innovation is enabling in-app e-commerce, offering readers the ability to purchase products showcased in magazines via a variety of resellers.
 
The company is also working on making magazines available through airline inflight entertainment systems, a development which will allow passengers to engage with their favourite magazines in air, via the inflight systems.
 
They are also working with various potential distribution partners, to allow magazines to be available in more places, more of the time. Potential reseller partners include airlines, credit cards and others. “You will very soon see Zinio in places you have never before”, said Xiang.
