Rising Stars in Media 2022

The FIPP-UPM Rising Stars in Media Awards 2022 are now open for entries! We’re searching for the brightest stars in global media in both journalism and business over the past twelve months.

Programme

The Rising Stars Awards are presented by FIPP – The Network for Global Media, in partnership with UPM Communications Papers, the world’s leading supplier of graphic papers and a cornerstone of our industry. 

The Awards are open to anyone under the age of 30 as of December 31st 2021, or those who have been employed in the media industry for less than 5yrs. 

Categories

The awards will be presented across the following categories: 

  • Rising Stars in Journalism: we are looking for the best new journalistic talent in any field. If you can demonstrate that you’ve produced innovative, impactful work, then we want to hear from you!
  • Rising Stars in the Business of Media: we want to see examples of success from anyone involved in the business of media, including areas such as product development, sales, marketing, distribution, technology and more.

You can nominate yourself or someone on your team who you feel has really excelled.

Entries

The programme is open for entries NOW! To submit yours, follow the link below to the online form. Instructions on how to apply and eligibility criteria are available at the start of the form.

But hurry! Entries will close at midnight on Friday 13th May

Winners

The judging panel will select winners in each category, who will all receive full FIPP memberships for a year alongside their award. 

Our judges will also select our Overall Rising Star in Media 2022, who is invited to join the FIPP Board for 12 months – a unique opportunity to participate in decision making at the highest level of the industry.

They’ll also be flown out to Lisbon-Cascais, Portugal in June, to take part in a special presentation ceremony being held as part of the FIPP World Media Congress 2022.
