Download FIPP Insight special report: global video trends

The exponential growth of video is an unmistakable and irreversible trend offering opportunities to exploit video as a traffic driver and a revenue producer. FIPP’s free World Media Trends Special Report on Video looks at the surging global consumption of video across digital devices.

This report on global trends in the usage of video, which you can download here, includes case studies from Meredith Corporation in the USA and Burda Media in Germany. It also looks at what is happening elsewhere with for example BBC.co.uk, Kyoda News in Japan and a look at what newspapers are doing in this field, given lines have become so blurred and media brands today have to compete 24/7 for the attention of the audience.

The World Media Trends Video Report is the first of an in-depth series from FIPP Insight and World Newsmedia Network. Each report will be packed with data charts, commentary on trends and practical, usable case studies.

Through 2015, FIPP Insight and WNMN will release six such special reports (alongside other FIPP Insight reports), all of them free to FIPP.com users.

Topics for the year are:

1. Video (published April 2015)

2. Social media (published May 2015)

3. Mobile (smartphones, tablets and feature phones) (to be published June 2015)

4. Content (July 2015)

5. Magazine media (i.e. multi-platform brands) (October 2015)

6. Revenue (September 2015)

To compile the reports, WNMN sources evidence-based data from sources around the world, analyses the data and provides commentary on top trends identified, trends you should be considering in your business today.
