WoodWing Software appoints Jan de Roos as its new CEO

Under Mouw’s leadership, WoodWing experienced significant revenue growth, strategically repositioned itself and further expanded its global footprint with customers in more than 66 countries. WoodWing provides solutions for multichannel content creation and digital asset management for publishers, brands and agencies.

“WoodWing is one of the most interesting companies and a recognised thought leader in the field of content technologies. The team is known for its high level of innovation and has a promising outlook,” said de Roos. “I am excited to assume the leadership of WoodWing and to be part of the further evolution of the company. I understand and support Roel’s decision to step down as WoodWing’s CEO for family reasons and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Roel-Jan Mouw joined WoodWing in 2013, embracing the challenge of taking over the company from its founders. “Roel did an outstanding job and today WoodWing is in better shape than ever,” said Erik Schut, co-founder and president of WoodWing. “In 2016 we again had strong growth for all of our business lines. The American business grew more than 20 per cent and WoodWing’s DAM business accelerated to 55 per cent growth. We are very happy that Jan comes on board as the new CEO to further accelerate our growth, along with our global partners.”

“It was my privilege to be the leader of this talented team over the past years,” said Mouw. “Together we successfully implemented new strategic imperatives, including Elvis DAM SaaS, established WoodWing Digital Services, accelerated our subscription-based business and migrated WoodWing’s solutions to HTML5. These achievements create a huge advantage for WoodWing’s clients and partners and pave the way for continued future growth under Jan’s leadership.”
